Saturday, October 21st @ 1-4p (one-time class)
COST: $30 (class size capped at 12)
Teacher: Nathan Ehrmann
Why is it that when you are in the audience, you see all the right moves in a scene? Because you are using the most important tools you have: eyes and ears. In this workshop, we will focus on spending just an extra few seconds at key points in the scene to use these tools, which will lead to more efficient use of that other important-yet-in-my-opinion-overused tool, your talking hole. No matter your style of play, working with your eyes and ears will definitely help you level up!
Nathan Ehrmann is a performer and teacher from Austin, Texas. Since graduating from The New Movement, he has taken the stage as a guest with The Megaphone Show and Fuck This Week, as well as been a member of multiple house and faculty teams. If you think that he’s thinking too much, he’s probably thinking about the fact that you’re thinking that.
We begin new classes every few weeks. If this one is sold out or held at an inconvenient time, look for our next class session here.
Our improv and sketch class sessions consist of 8 weekly, 2 hour sessions, and a recital show performed in front of an audience.
New class sessions start all the time; at $225 each for improv, $250 each for sketch. Ideally, students continue in the same time slot from Level 1 onward, but if you need to switch to another time or need more info about our Level 2-Level 5 classes or internships, please contact TNM’s Conservatory Director (Nola – TNMNOLA@gmail.com, ATX – TNMATX@gmail.com).
We also offer sketch writing classes, team building workshops for businesses and corporations, week-long and weekend intensives, and kids and teen comedy classes (NOLA only).
