TNM's Festivals

March | Austin

The New Movement is excited to pay homage to the father of modern improv, Del Close, in a special weekend dedicated to the format he created, the Harold. On a visit to Austin in the 70’s Del said the city was “The Berkeley of the Southwest.”

So for one weekend the best Harold groups in Austin as well as a handful of visiting acts take over the programming at TNM.

Comedy Underground

March | Austin

Presented annually by our online comedy publication of the same name, Comedy Underground

is an unofficial SXSW event featuring artists from all over the country.

July | Austin + New Orleans

November | New Orleans

Everfest called Megaphone Marathons one of the Top 12 Comedy Festivals, but it's also a kickass intensive, family reunion-like party, and TNM's official anniversary as a theater. And it's two damn weeks long, so if you like what we're doing in Austin in Week 1, follow us to New Orleans for Week 2 and do it all over again (differently)

in another great city, amongst another great comedy community. TNMers journey to perform in their brother and sister cities - filling their days with workshops and intensives and filling their nights with showcases of all the best past, present, and future TNM shows. Everybody wins!

Hell Yes Fest is the biggest comedy event in the Gulf South. The best established and up and coming standup comedians, sketch, and improv comedy groups descend upon New Orleans every Fall.
