This summer, venture south to study with The New Movement, an improv theater and training center with locations in Austin & New Orleans. TNM is calling hungry improvisers to take on the challenge of Training Camp's Intensive, a five-day round-the-clock adult improv camp that lets you learn & practice with a group of like-minded performers for 6 hours a day, then perform a killer show every night in front of a paying audience.

You want to book work but you don’t have an agent . . .
You want to audition but you haven’t taken any acting classes yet . . .
You want the casting director to book you for jobs, but you don’t have a reel or decent headshots . . .
What do you do? Where do you turn?
You sign up for Acting Essentials, of course – where you learn how to create a game plan to take your career to the next level, stay sane, not break the bank and come across as a professional in an industry of flakes.
Jump into the basics of TNM’s curriculum, get a good taste of how TNM produces shows and develops talent, and learn how to connect with your scene partners, friends, employees, and everyone else in your life in a thousand wonderful new ways.
The purpose of this workshop is to prepare newcomers and first-timers to have the confidence to execute an audition for film, television and commercials and to grow as better performers. This would be an introductory workshop for anyone with an interest in acting on camera.
Does your child have unique observations on our world? Do you often hear him or her say something that you think would be perfect in a late night show? Comedy Uprising has a unique opportunity for kids and teens ages 11 to 19 to write, stage, and perform in a talk show format.
Beginning Thursday, April 6 @ 6p-8p (8 classes + recital + show)
COST: $225 (class size capped at 10)
TEACHERS: Kirsten Macauley
You wanna learn how to write killer sketches? This is your first step. In these weekly classes, you’ll explore the technical aspects of sketch, collaborate with your teacher and classmates, and eventually put up a sketch recital on TNM’s stage in front of actual paying audience members. This is how you learn to do the thing.
