The purpose of this workshop is to prepare newcomers and first-timers to have the confidence to execute an audition for film, television and commercials and to grow as better performers. This would be an introductory workshop for anyone with an interest in acting on camera. It would cover the fundamentals of auditioning, including but not limited to:

Script break down
Taking direction
Spatial awareness/blocking
Engaging with the reader
Casting etiquette
Headshots & Resumes
Discussion/Q&A on:finding an agent, head shots, regional markets, acting classes, demo reels, cold reading, self-tape auditioning, etc.

This workshop will be geared to anyone that is new to auditioning or has never auditioned in the past. Welcome to any veteran talent as well, for fundamental reminders.

Justin Coulter, a graduate of the TNM Improv Conservatory has been working in the film industry for 10 years. He earned a B.S in Film Production from Full Sail University in 2010, and since then he has worked in various casting departments in the New Orleans area. Credits include: Pitch Perfect, Dallas Buyer’s Club, Zoo, Daddy’s Home, The Magicians, One Mississippi, Salem and many others. Justin became a member of The Casting Society of America in 2016.
