Armando (Megaphone Show style) is an improv form that combines both story telling and scene work. In an Armando, the improvisers' scenes are inspired from short stories told by a monologist. This workshop will not only introduce students to the form but through the form will help to focus on simple game and scene heightening.

Instructor Bio:


Jonathan Evans is a New Orleans based filmmaker and comedian. His directing work includes feature films, web series, television programs, music videos and commercials. Jonathan is a graduate and teacher at The New Movement, a comedy and improv theater based in New Orleans and Austin.

We begin new classes every few weeks. If this one is sold out or held at an inconvenient time, look for our next class session here.

Our improv and sketch class sessions consist of 8 weekly, 2 hour sessions, and a recital show performed in front of an audience.

New class sessions start all the time; at $225 each for improv, $250 each for sketch.
